Is it possible to get a shuttle from the airport to Montagu?
There are shuttles operating between the airport/Cape Town and Montagu, but these need to to be pre booked.
Does one need a car to get around Montagu?
The town of Montagu is relatively small and one can walk just about everywhere, but a car would be necessary if you wanted to explore further.
How far is it to walk to the centre of town?
About 20 mins flat walk
Is parking available?
Free designated parking under a carport
Is there security?
Montagu has very low crime statistics, but the cottages are equipped with an alarm system and panic button and open windows have security.
Is there a washing machine?
No, but there is a very good laundry service in town called Busy Bees.
How would one get up to date information on the climbing in and around Montagu?
Tony, the owner of the cottages (who lives just two house away) is and avid climber and mountain guide. He will be able to help you with anything climbing.
